Christian Science

I have not been blogging for quite a while. Perhaps it's just my lingering feeling that no one reads what I write here but I have no interest in posting crappy, nonsensical articles that I am in no mood to write. But of course if you feel what I have been producing is the abovementioned tell me how to improve-I want to up my writing skills.

But I want to talk about Christianity today. It's been an issue I've been wanting to discuss for a long time since I read The Da Vinci Code-a simply stunning book that made the following claims-
1) The Holy Grail is not the cup of Christ.
2) Jesus had a son by Mary and their descendants exist even today.
3) The Bible had been modified and that which we read today an abridged version.
4) The Holy Grail actually refers to Mary and the item itself is a collection of documents/scientific evidence that proves No. 2 true.
I pondered the following ever since they had been presented to me and come up with the following conclusion-IMPOSSIBLE. And I have proof that extends from the Bible-Scientific Evidence from a Science student, if you will.

It was the form of the evidence that seems really dubious. I can't remember if it was in the form of documents or scientific evidence but it doesn't matter-it cannot exist. Say it was documents-and what proof is there that your version is the correct one? As for scientific evidence, well the only form of this I can think of is DNA sequencing-matching of DNA from the offspring and the parents. This will be much more complicated considering the number of chiasmata formed since the number of generations since Jesus Christ but my Biology knowledge is probably not complete-perhaps it can be done. But even then, we will still need some part from both Jesus and Mary-perhaps a strand of hair or a fingernail. Age here is not a factor-Egyptians have pioneered excellent preservation techniques long before then. Thing is, however, would they know that this needs to be done? DNA sequencing obviously did not exist then, and how would they then know that it would help today? What sort of scientific evidence may prove it then? As far as my knowledge reaches, none exists. Is my knowledge flawed though? Perhaps, but I'll have to see this evidence to believe it.

The book, however, has been inspiration for me to start searching for scientific evidence for Christianity. I still believe in God and Jesus of course, but such evidence will help reinforce everyone's faith a million times over! The question is, though, does this exist?

A good start to this search, I decided, would be the theory on Evolution. I didn't care too much for this when Ivan tried convincing others that it was untrue, but right now it may be a powerful foil to my case if an appropriate answer found. I started with a pastor's take on the matter that Ivan had sent me some time ago-50 arguments against it. He appeared to me to fail miserably even after 5 though, making too many assumptions amidst a very heart-based argument. And why does he keep calling monkeys brutes!? They too are creatures of God, you know! Back to the drawing board, then, though I will continue reading that article until I am convinced every last shred of argument of his has been disproved. You never know, there may be something helpful in it.

My other theory has been if a unification of both theories is possible. Apparently, one already exists-that evolution came only AFTER creation. How do we explain creation using Science, though? Another mystery, another answer, and along with it, another million more mysteries waiting with growing impatience to be solved. And my Evolution problem can’t be totally dismissed yet. Irritatingly enough though, they'll only teach it early 2006. I can't wait that long…where's my brother's textbook!?

That's all I can say about my progress now I suppose. Sometimes I feel that if my sudden interest in science has been because God wants me to solve this mystery. Frankly though I have no idea if an answer even exists! I may be leading a wild goose chase, but as in Science, I am going to prove something false before we make any more assumptions.

But in the meantime, I'll let you enjoy the following other blogs lest this place experience yet another long dearth in entries. Pity me, the IT flop who does not know how to attach links!!! LOL, anyway, I am proud to present the following…

-Frostmourne(Forgot the Leet spelling)- http://www.wwap.blogspot.com/ Another version of the above. Also helped with my formulation of some of my ideas of Christian Science. If you’re interested, check out my discussion with him under the article "Organized Religion is a Crock of Shit".
-Azrul Hisham- http://www.sacrificialketchup.blogspot.com/ a perfect marriage of Romanticism and stylized, professional literary writing. Interesting stuff!
-Supernova- http://mirrorblack.blogspot.com/ –a very well-written blog.
